Paul Lukas explains why new uniforms so often ugly
ESPN design expert and editor of uni-watch.com Paul Lukas joined the show to talk about the Clippers changing their uniform and the state of uniforms throughout sports.
“A lot of the change we see is change for the sake of change rather than for the sake of good design,” Lukas said.
He prefers old-school uniforms like the Steelers, Packers, Raiders or Bears. He said that teams used to care about what looked good. Now they care about what sells.
He really doesn’t like the San Diego Padres’ current uniform – because it’s so bland. He liked the ugly brown uniforms more.
