John Smoltz on state of game, his NCAA Tournament dominance
MLB Newtork’s John Smoltz joined the show to talk about his bracket dominance in recent years, issues with high school athletes in all sports going straight to the pros and Bryce Harper’s comments on the state of the game. Smoltz argues you have to have a balance between showmanship and team play. Smoltz had funny comments about being drafted out of high school – he said he was on top of the world when he got drafted in the 22nd round, received $100,000 and bought a Red Z-24 Cavalier hatchback.
