Duck Dynasty CEO Willie Robertson joined the show to talk about his show and his love of sports.

Robertson had great stories about how he knew the show got big. He was down at the Masters and everyone came up to him.

Robertson said he played golf with Bubba Watson recently and Bubba wanted to bet. Watson convinced them to take his action if he played the whole round with a 6-iron. Robertson said that Watson shot a 1-over and took money from them.

Robertson also talked about his sports teams — he bleeds LSU football and roots for the Nationals because he’s friends with Adam LaRoche.

Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski joined the show to talk about his decision to remain as Olympic coach and more.

Coach K explained why he will remain with USA Basketball despite saying he was done. “I wanted to be sure I weighed in with everybody,” he said. “Especially my family. I feel great about making the decision. … When I said I wouldn't do it again, I felt that I wouldn't.”

Dan asked if this would impact how long he would stay at Duke. “I think it's lengthened my Duke career,” Coach K said. “I'm more energized. I feel great about coaching. I'm in really good health. This is exciting and coaching at Duke is exciting.”

C0ach K was specific about remaining in Durham until at least 2016. “It will go at least through the Olympics in Rio [coaching] at Duke,” Coach K said. “You need to be sharp. I don't think you can just coach the national team. I'll see. I'll be right around 70 then.”

Coach K told some great recruiting stories. He said he recruited Bobby Hurley and Kenny Anderson at the same time and chose to go after Hurley (even though there was no guarantee he had Anderson). He also said he looked at Michael Jordan, but not that hard because he knew he was going to UNC. “No one knew he was going to be that good,” Coach K said.

Coach K talked about the hype around his recruit Jabari Parker. “Our culture is bigger on movie previews than the actual movies,” he said. “Jabari is a very versatile basketball player so I’ll make sure he’s given an opportunity to show his stuff. Jabari is going to be a great college player and eventually a great pro player.”

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick joined the show to talk about his upcoming season and more.

Vick said Dan can just call him “Eagles quarterback,” and said it’s an open competition to start. He also weighed in on recent criticism about his “football intelligence” and what he thought when the Eagles drafted Matt Barkley. Vick also compared himself to some of the fast young quarterbacks in the League in terms of speed.

10 Mint Leaves

3 Watermelon Cubes - 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 inch roughly

6 Fresh Raspberries

Directions

Muddle mint leaves, watermelon and raspberries in cocktail shaker. Add rum, lime juice and simple syrup with ice. Shake vigorously to infuse mint flavor well. Strain into highball glass over fresh ice. Top with soda and garnish with a sprig of mint.

Indiana Pacers coach Frank Vogel joined the show to talk about their tough loss in Game 1 to the Heat.

Dan asked Vogel what he would have done differently last night.. “I probably, in hindsight, would either have Roy Hibbert in the game or stress spacing and or stress the importance of keeping the guys in front of us,” Vogel said.

Vogel did acknowledge that they did have matchup concerns with Hibbert on the court. “Chris Bosh is every bit as capable of beating you in 2.2 seconds,” Vogel said.

Vogel did explain why he thought his strategy could have worked. “All you have to do,” Vogel said. “whoever has the ball, [make him] turn him into a second move, and you win the game.”

Dan asked what he thought of Paul George hitting that big three at the end of regulation. “Just a young star rising to the challenge,” Vogel said.

Vogel said the key to advancing was limiting turnovers and also solving the Heat’s smaller lineup.

Dan asked how morale was today. “Guys understand that we’re far from being out of this series,” Conley said.

Dan then asked if anything the Spurs are doing surprised them. “We expected them to play the way they did,” Conley said. “We didn’t expect us to play as poorly as we did.”

Conley said he hopes that they can hold homecourt and then find a way to steal a road game.

Conley said that Greg Oden was at a playoff game and they talked. Conley said his former teammate at Ohio State is in great shape and looking forward to next year. Conley said that he would love for Oden to come to Memphis.

“A lot of people write him off because of injuries,” Conley said. “But he’s still young (25).”

Brian Urlacher joined the show right after announcing his retirement.

"I thought about it for a long time," Urlacher said. "A month ago I was ready to do it. I just wanted to give it another month. … It really wasn't that hard a decision."

Urlacher said he may have gotten more offers later in the offseason, but he wasn't into it. "I didn't want to put someone else's jersey on to tell you the truth," Urlacher said.

Urlacher said right after things didn't work out with Chicago, he was angry and said some things that he doesn't feel now.

Urlacher said he's not sure what he's going to do now, but he can already tell no one at home is waiting for him. Urlacher did say he’s tired of working out, and it’s a lot harder when teammates aren’t around.

Dan asked what play that an opponent made does he remember. Urlacher talked about getting juked in 2006 by Tom Brady. And Urlacher said he made a mistake by trash-talking Adrian Peterson before a game.

Kerr weighed in on Phil Jackson comparing Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Kerr said that Jordan and Bryant have the same mentality and want to rip your head off.

Kerr talked about Jackson’s approach to Dennis Rodman. He said that there was an assistant who went and woke up Rodman. Dan asked why Jackson let him do it. “Phil was Phil and he understood people pretty well,” Kerr said. Kerr said Jackson had different rules for everyone.

“It’s crazy to think you can have the exact same set of rules for everyone,” Kerr said.

Golf Channel's Steve Sands joined the show to talk about his question to Sergio Garcia about whether he'd have Tiger Woods over for dinner. Garcia responded that he would serve him "fried chicken," which ignited a major controversy.

Sands said that the event he was light-hearted and everyone was saying funny things. Sands had a conversation with a friend of Garcia and found out they were renting a house for the U.S. Open. So Sands asked if Garcia was going to invite Garcia over for dinner.

Sands described the reaction to the room after Garcia uttered the line about friend chicken.

"Half nervous laughter, half nervous gasping," Sands said.

Sands said that the European crowd reacted a bit differently than they might of in America because of lack of awareness.

Sands said that Garcia had not been drinking and people don’t get crazy at that event. “It’s too elegant of an evening,” Sands said.

MLB Network analyst Harold Reynolds joined the show to talk about the Dodgers’ managerial situation and more.

Reynolds acknowledged Don Mattingly is in trouble in L.A. “They need to get hot,” Reynolds said. “If they don’t win the next week and a half, I don’t think he’s going to be around.”

Reynolds said part of Mattingly’s problem is the ownership group doesn’t know baseball and isn’t used to a 162-game schedule. They panic too soon.

Reynolds said watch out for Angels slugger Josh Hamilton — he’s gonna get hot and hit six home runs in two weeks even though he’s been struggling.

Reynolds also weighed in on Clay Bucholz and said he thinks he was using a foreign substance intentionally by having so much sunscreen on their arm.

Reynolds talked about replay as well. He likes it. He said we never would have had the Jim Joyce blowing a perfect game if we had it. He can’t understand how Angel Hernandez blew that home run call in the A’s-Orioles game.

Part II of Dan’s interview with Phil Jackson

Phil Jackson joined the show to talk about his new book “Eleven Rings: The Soul of Success.”

Dan asked Jackson what would it have taken for him to be the Lakers coach right now. He said he wasn’t sure he could win another title and he certainly didn’t want to lose in the Finals, because that was very painful.

Jackson talked about the differences between coaching a star-laden veteran team and a young team. He said that the Bulls were very young early in his career there.

Jackson talked about some of the challenges Michael Jordan faces in Charlotte and the problems with mid-major markets. He said that it’s hard to get free agents in certain cities, unless you overpay them. So you have to work through the Draft, which means younger players.

Jackson also talked about his Jordan-Kobe Bryant comparison. Jackson said that Jordan had a unique ability to sit back and let other people get involved. Jackson noted Jordan knew how to finish games even when he wasn’t playing well. Whereas certain times Kobe would will himself into the game no matter what the circumstance is. Jackson explained that he had a different relationship with Kobe than Michael. He said he coached Kobe when he was just about 21 and he was there to learn. He said Kobe was very attentive and he had to preach patience to the young player.

Jackson also talked about coaching Shaquille O’Neal.”Shaq was pretty hard-headed,” Jackson said. “But it was pretty easy to be positive with him. Everything about this offense was to get the ball inside.”

Jackson said there was real tension between Shaq and Kobe about leadership and who was the man. He said that they competed in that sense.

Jackson had advice for how the Lakers can build this current team. “You have to play into Dwight Howard,” Jackson said. He said the offense has to come through the middle more, but Jackson noted that’s not Mike D’Antoni’s style.

Jackson talked about the Seattle franchise. He really liked potential owner Chris Hansen. “His vision I could buy into,” Jackson said. Jackson said Hansen offered him any role he wanted in the front office.

Jackson said that he got an offer to coach Brooklyn. He said that’s a good situation, but he didn’t take it. The Knicks did not make him an offer.

Jackson talked about Carmelo Anthony. “Carmelo is a terrific player,” Jackson said. Jackson thinks he could play in his system, but would be worried if he tried to score outside the system.

FOXSports.com’s Ken Rosenthal joined the show to talk about Don Mattingly’s future as manager of the Dodgers.

Rosenthal said someone has to pay for the Dodgers’ struggles: “Who always goes first? It’s the manager.”

Rosenthal said that he notices some flaws with how Mattingly handles the bullpen. “It’s hard to know where the bullpen problem stars and where the manager contributes,” Rosenthal said.

Rosenthal said that players may be too comfortable around Mattingly, who is very supportive.

Mannix weighed in on both conference finals and noted that LeBron James bit on the bait when reporters said Frank Vogel called them “another team.”

Mannix also weighed in on Dwight Howard’s future, the Knicks’ moves moving forward and why the one-and-done rule may not go away. He also talked about how it’s a weak draft class this year.
