Doug Gottlieb talks about why he left ESPN, Tebow coverage

Former ESPN radio host Doug Gottlieb joined the show to talk about why he left and what he’s doing next at CBS.

Gottlieb said that one of the reasons he left is he wanted to cover the NCAA Tournament, which he’ll get a chance to do now.

Gottlieb talked about how competitive ESPN is for talent. Everyone wants the big assignments.

Gottlieb talked about some of the editorial decisions at ESPN. “I was told specifically, you can’t talk enough Tebow,” Gottlieb said. “People can’t get enough of that story, and they kind of stoke the fire.” Gottlieb thinks that Tebow will be out of football in a couple of years. He said Tebow won’t have a chance against the Texans.
