Austin Davis on Rams’ trick play, lack of recognition
St. Louis Rams quarterback Austin Davis joined the show to talk about their big win over the Seahawks.
Davis admitted he was just as fooled as we were by the trick punt play. “I had no idea what was going on,” Davis said. He had no clue if they practiced that play.
Dan asked if anyone recognizes him on the street. “Not really,” Davis said. “Really only at the stadium. I don’t mind that. I didn’t start playing football to be a superstar or a hero.”
Dan also asked if he’s talked to fellow Southern Miss alum Brett Favre. Davis at first joked that Favre “doesn’t have cell phone service” where he is, but than said Favre did call him and was very supportive.
