Scott Fowler on local reaction to Cam Newton’s accident
Charlotte Observer’s Scott Fowler joined the show to talk about Cam Newton’s car accident. Fowler was brought back to the 2000 death of Bobby Phills, a beloved Hornets player who died in a car accident. Fowler noted how serious the accident was and that we need to keep in perspective that football isn’t all that was at stake here. Fowler said Newton is very popular by anyone under 18 in Charlotte, while some older fans have an issue with his TD celebrations.
