Bill Simmons recalls night Larry Bird torches Atlanta Hawks
Grantland’s Bill Simmons joined the show to talk about the 30th anniversary of Larry Bird torching the Hawks and Atlanta’s bench actually cheering for Bird. Simmons says that Hawks coach Mike Fratello was really upset.
Simmons and Dan discussed Bird’s place in history. Simmons said that Bird’s only problem is health and having a shorter career – about 10 legit years. Simmons says LeBron is more durable.
