Isiah Thomas explains why he took New York Liberty job

New New York Liberty president Isiah Thomas joined the show to talk about why he took this job.

Thomas commented on the 2007 sexual harassment lawsuit that was part of his ugly ending with the Knicks. “I’ve always maintained my innocence,” Thomas said. He said there were findings against MSG, but not him.

Dan admitted he was shocked Isiah took this job. “I just love the sport,” Thomas said. “Having the opportunity to work in the sport …. You should be shocked if I was the manager of a baseball team.”

Dan clarified that he was shocked he came back to basketball with this organization. Thomas said that they do play in Madison Square Garden, but the Liberty are a different team than the Knicks.

Dan asked his “end game.” Thomas said he doesn’t think about five, 10 years down the road.

“We never get to write the ending,” Thomas said. “I don’t have an end game. I just know where I’m at now.”
