Bissinger on Jenner: ‘I learned how much pain he went through’
Buzz Bissinger joined the show to talk about his Caitlyn Jenner profile for Vanity Fair. Bissinger, who talked about being a cross-dresser himself, discussed the process of the story.
“What I learned is just how much pain he went through as Bruce,” Bissinger said. He told a story of Jenner getting electrolysis and not taking pain medication, because he thought he deserved the pain.
Bissinger said that it was “cathartic” to do the story. He said he got killed for admitting he cross-dressed, so he can’t imagine what Jenner has gone through.
Bissinger said that Jenner has a sense of humor about the whole thing … especially when it comes to golf. Bissinger said the humor “demystifies it.”
