Pat Venditte explains how he started pitching with both hands

Oakland A’s pitcher Pat Venditte joined the show to explain how he came to pitch with both hands and what it was like to finally be called up to the Majors after a long minor league career.

Dan asked if pitching with both hands could have held him back. “Any time you’re different,” Venditte said, “you’re viewed differently. In this game I’m about as different as they come. I had to prove it at every level.”

Venditte talked about how he got his first two-handed glove, the influence of former two-handed pitcher Greg Harris and what it was like to get the call to come up to the Majors.
