Brandel Chamblee: ‘trainwrecks’ all over U.S. Open course

Golf Channel’s Brandel Chamblee joined the show to talk about the U.S. Open and the conditions at Chambers Bay.

Chamblee thought the course was awful. He said there were “trainwrecks” all over the course, and who knows what would have happened on Dustin Johnson’s final putt if the greens were better.

“I thought everyone was nervous as Hell on every hole out there,” Chamblee said.

Chamblee said that it “usually takes ’til Sunday night” for us to appreciate Jordan Spieth, and Dustin Johnson wows you from the first shot.

Chamblee looked ahead to the British Open at St. Andrew’s. He said it’s all about length off the tee.
