Jose Bautista won’t apologize for bat flip

Toronto Blue Jays postseason hero Jose Bautista joined the show to talk about his dramatic home run in Game 5 of the LDS.

Bautista said that he has no problem with people criticizing him for the bat flip. He said that he couldn’t help it: “I play with a lot of passion,” Bautista said. “That’s what gives me drive. I have to play like that. If I don’t, I might not be me. With the situation of the game and the series … the emotions came out. I wasn’t doing anything to disrespect the game or the opponent. I’m not going to apologize. I enjoyed it. I can’t say I’d do it again, because I didn’t plan it.”

Bautista commented on the fan who got a tattoo of the bat flip. “Once I saw it I was speechless,” Bautista said.

Bautista also told Dan that he’s a big fan of the show Forensic Files and he’s been binge-watching it lately.
