FIND A STATION Dan Patrick Show
TUESDAY: ROSS TUCKER, DOC EMRICK

MLB Network analyst Al Leiter joined the show to share his take on the MLB Playoffs and more. He commented on Don Mattingly and said that teams that over-value Sabermetrics are making a mistake.

“They think you can have a cardboard cut-out in the dugout,” Leiter said. “They’re wrong. … They give you stats that say there’s no difference with hitting with runners in scoring position. As soon as I hear that I respectfully glaze over. Because there is a difference. There is a difference in the 27th out then throwing a scoreless seventh inning.”
