Kareem: I couldn’t do what Jordan did, but he couldn’t do what I did

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar joined the show to talk about his new biography on HBO and more. Abdul-Jabbar looked back at his days at UCLA, his relationship with John Wooden, his respect for Jackie Robinson, why he didn’t pursue baseball, which he loved, and playing Earl Monroe in a high school summer league.

Dan asked Kareem why everyone has Michael Jordan as the best player and not him. Kareem said people who say Jordan is the best didn’t see Oscar Robertson or Jerry West. And he said people discounted him because he was so tall. He said he couldn’t do things Jordan did, but MJ couldn’t do what he did.
