Des Moines columnist OK with storming court despite broken leg
Des Moines Register columnist Randy Peterson joined the show after breaking his leg during the postgame celebration at Iowa State after the Cyclones beat Iowa on Thursday night.
Peterson wanted to be clear on what exactly happened … “I was not trampled,” he said. “I was on the ground.” He said he was helped off as soon as possible after falling.
Peterson is not against storming the court in general. “I’m OK with it,” Peterson said. “Let the people who need to get off the floor first get off the floor.”
He said it’s not just Iowa Sate … he’s been present at many court and field stormings through the years.
