Tom Izzo on Draymond Green’s competitiveness, character

Michigan State coach Tom Izzo stood up for his former player Draymond Green after the Warriors star was suspended for Game 5.

“I don’t look at him as a dirty player,” Izzo said. “Never have. In fact, if you get to know him, he’s an incredible guy.”

Izzo said that Draymond would have given and arm or leg to play in Game 5.

“I could sum him up in one word,” Izzo said. “He’s just a winner. Winning is important.”
