Dungy comments on Terrelle Pryor and Michael Vick

NBC’s Football Night in America analyst Tony Dungy joined the show to talk about the big stories around the NFL.

Dungy said he was “shocked” the NFL is suspending Terrelle Pryor for five games. And he doesn’t think the league handled his entry into the supplemental draft well. “I think they really did him a disservice by delaying it as long as they did,” Dungy said.

Dungy isn’t sure if Pryor can play quarterback in the NFL. Dungy said he thought Ryan Leaf could play, so you never know.

Dungy said that he texted back and forth with Michael Vick over the summer and everything is good, even though they haven’t talked much of late.

Dungy said Ndamukong Suh probably does have to change his style. He said sometimes Suh gets nailed for legal plays. “There are going to be times when you’re going to have to change,” Dungy said, “or else you’re going to put your team in jeopardy.”
