Justin Tuck: New rules make it ‘confusing’ for defense; Brady most protected QB

New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck joined the show to talk about his season and much more.

Dan asked who he’d rather have as a quarterback — Tony Romo or Michael Vick? Tuck said “Eli Manning.”

Tuck said that as a player, he doesn’t want to face Vick, because he’s a pain to run after. But Tuck did say they try to take legal shots on quarterbacks whenever they can.

Dan asked which quarterback is protected the most. “The most protected one would be Tom Brady,” Tuck said. “but you could throw a lot of quarterbacks into that.”

Tuck talked about Sunday’s Eagles-Giants game. Dan asked if they took any dirty shots. “In this game, no,” Tuck said. “I don’t think we took any illegal shots.”

Tuck said he did understand where Vick was coming from, but that has a lot to do with his playing style.

Tuck said that the new rule system is tough to figure out as a defensive player. “It makes it very confusing and difficult for a defensive player,” Tuck said.

Tuck did say he has eased up on quarterbacks — especially after the officials say something to him.
