Robert Griffin III talks about Heisman chances, NFL future

Robert Griffin III joined the show to talk about his season and his future.

Griffin said he had over 25 offers as a quarterback, but a couple of big schools wanted him to play receiver or defensive back. He said that he does take that a little personally.

Griffin said he doesn’t get involved in the discussion of what a black quarterback or a mobile quarterback can and can’t do. Griffin said he worked on accuracy with his receivers over the summer.

Dan asked Griffin his choice for the Heisman. Griffin went with himself, but only because he thinks Baylor is the most exciting team and he is its representative. He gave a very politically correct answer. Turns out, he’s a politics major.

Griffin wouldn’t say if he’s planning to go on to the NFL next season. He said he’s 6-foot-2 and if anything, he’ll measure taller than that at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Griffin talked about how he got engaged. He sang a song to her and had a teammate on the guitar.
