Devin Hester says Tebow is ‘coming along’; talks trash to punter
Chicago Bears receiver and returner Devin Hester joined the show to talk about the Bears losing to the Broncos.
Dan asked Hester if Tim Tebow is a good quarterback. After a long pause, Hester said, “He’s coming along.”
Hester said he did talk to Marion Barber despite two fumbles: “I told him keep your head up, You’re not the only one who made mistakes in a game.”
Hester said that he went up to the Broncos punter before Sunday’s game and told him to punt to him. Hester said, “You know you’re leading the Pro Bowl vote. If you do all these rugby short kicks it’s going to drop your average.”
Dan asked Hester if he thinks he’s a Hall of Famer. “I think so, to be honest,” Hester said. “Whenever you break a record at your position, you become the greatest of all time.”
Dan asked if he’s worried about Patrick Peterson catching his record. “He’ll start getting balls punted away from him,” Hester said.
