Mike Leach looks back at Craig James controversy
Washington State coach Mike Leach joined the show to talk about his new job and the aftermath of the controversy with ESPN’s Craig James.
Dan asked if the James controversy hurt him when he was looking for a new job. “I think it had a chilling effect,” Leach said. “And I think ESPN spreading it throughout the country.”
But Leach said that as the story got out there, the situation got better for him.
Leach bristled when Dan asked about reports that Maryland chose Randy Edsall over him because he was “safer.” Leach said who could possibly be safer than him, noting the graduation rate and much more.
