Orange County Register’s Kevin Ding joined the show to talk about the Lakers’ trade for Steve Nash.

Ding said the Lakers didn’t at first thinkg Nash wanted to play for them, but when they found out he was, they were “more than a little excited.” Ding said that Kobe Bryant wants an easier way to get shots and Nash should help with that.

Dan asked Ding if Nash going to L.A. will affect chances of getting Dwight Howard. Ding says the Nash addition will have no effect on the pursuit of Howard.

Dan asked Ding who the favorite is in the West. Ding said right now the Thunder. That may change if Los Angeles gets Howard: “As exciting as Steve Nash is, Dwight Howard is a true game-changer in every possible way.”
