Troy Polamalu says NFL players fight through injuries because they don’t have guaranteed contracts

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu joined the show to talk about his season and more.

Dan asked Polamalu to follow up on some of his comments about his history of concussions last time he was playing. Polamalu made an interesting point.

“I’m not sure fans out there understand we’re year to year,” Polamalu said. “I think a major change would be if we start guaranteeing football players contracts, they’d have less pressure to play through injuries.”

Dan asked Polamalu if he watches football when he’s not working. “Absolutely not,” Polamalu said. “I’ll watch a high school game here and there.”
