Orange County Register’s Kevin Ding joined the show to talk about the Lakers’ 0-2 start.

Ding said that Dwight Howard has been a little slow on reads and hasn’t bailed guys out like they expected.

Ding also said that Steve Nash has been careful and tried to fit in so far and hasn’t really been himself.

Ding explained that the Lakers run a “read-and-react” offense. They could just come down and run a pick-and-roll every play, but they don’t. They’re trying to grow as an offense and it’s been rough so far.

Ding said it’s interesting that Mike Brown is a defense-first guy and the defense has been bad. As a result, even more people are wondering if Mike Brown is the right guy to run this.
