FIND A STATION Dan Patrick Show
Thursday: Charles Barkley in studio

Sports Illustrated’s Andy Staples joined the show to talk about the national title game and more.

Staples thinks that Texas A&M is the second best team in the nation and he thinks Alabama-A&M would have been the best title matchup. He said that he’s not sure where to put Ohio State because the Buckeyes haven’t played anybody.

Staples said that he thinks this was a “great year” for Notre Dame. “No one thought they would get anywhere near the national title team,” Staples said.

Staples, however, said that Alabama is the team to beat next year. Basically, they have a tough game against Texas A&M early, but then the Tide will roll.

Staples weighed in on Chip Kelly saying no to Cleveland and Philadelphia in the NFL. Staples said Kelly may not have thought those franchises were committed to winning, so why not go back to Oregon, where you know you can win.
