Peter King: Audience better off without Belichick postgame interview

Sports Illustrated’s Peter King joined the show to talk about the big stories around the NFL.

King weighed in on Bill Belichick not doing a postgame interview. “I’ve been around him enough to know that most often he’s going to satisfy his media’s obligations and not do much more beyond that,” King said. He thinks that the audience is probably better served with Belichick not coming out.

King also weighed in on why many fans don’t like the Patriots. He said it’s a combo of them winning and Belichick. He said that SpyGate is also a big factor for many fans.

King talked about Rookie of the Year as well. He said he voted for Russell Wilson over Robert Griffin III and Andrew Luck. He said Colin Kaepernick came on way too late.

King discussed Manti Te’o and said an NFL exec had him “eighth or 10th” before they factored in the underclassmen. King said that teams will want to research him, get answers and then figure out he tells them the truth.
