A.J. McCarron on Johnny Manziel, Nick Saban and his girlfriend Katherine Webb
Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron joined the show to talk about his offseason and more.
McCarron said that unlike Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel, he goes to class on campus. “You get some extra stares, But I love our student base and all the fans we have on campus.”
Dan asked what he thought of Manziel’s dilemma. “Johnny’s one of my good friends,” McCarron said. “He’s had a lot thrown at him. “
Dan asked McCarron if was the best quarterback last year. He said yes and that any quarterback should say the same thing.
McCarron commented on coach Nick Saban’s sense of humor. McCarron said that Saban walks around practice throwing jabs and being funny, even though he comes off as very serious publicly.
Dan asked about his girlfriend Katherine Webb being in the SI swimsuit issue and having a half Auburn-Alabama jersey. McCarron said it’s all good, but clarified she will not be able to decide they’re having Auburn colors at their wedding.
McCarron also talked about tattoos. He said he got a new one this offseason, but he’ll never go below the elbow like Colin Kaepernick. He said it’s a good way to express yourself.
