Quinn Buckner breaks down Heat-Pacers, weighs in on Hibbert’s comments

Pacers analyst Quinn Buckner joined the show to talk about the Pacers-Heat series and more.

Dan asked Buckner his thoughts on Roy Hibberts anti-gay slur in the Game 6 postgame press conference. “Totally out of character,” Buckner said. “[He] got carried away. Guys don’t really understand what they’re involved in. … He’s a really good kid. He regrets what he said.”

Buckner said that the Pacers don’t totally understand the scope of this series. They’re just playing. “It’s going to be a highly competitive game,” Buckner said. “I’m interested to see who can handle the pressure.”

Buckner looked back at some of the great players he’s been around. He said Bird was incredible in big moments. But he said Michael Jordan’s performance against Utah in the Finals when he was sick was the biggest game he’s ever seen.
