Wednesday: Rich Eisen

U.S. soccer star Landon Donovan joined the show to talk about their win over Mexico last night and the future of U.S. Soccer.

Donovan said that he did seriously consider dropping out of the game. Donovan said he went to Cambodia and sort of hid out. “I was not in a great place,” Donovan said. “I was a little burned out. “ But he doesn’t plan to retire after the 2014 World Cup.

Donovan said that he’s optimistic about the World Cup, but you never know. “A lot of it depends on the draw you get,” Donovan said.

“We’re a really good team,” Donovan said. “I think we’re at a tipping point. Times are changing and we have a good team.”
