Peter King on coaching carousel, Mike Tomlin and Adrian Peterson chasing history

Sports Illustrated’s Peter King joined the show to talk about Week 13 in the NFL and more.

— King talked about coaches on the hot seat. He thinks Texans coach Gary Kubiak is in trouble. King also weighed in on the possibility Jon Gruden could land in Dallas. He thinks Gruden would like to work for Jerry Jones. But he thinks Houston also makes a lot of sense for Gruden, since he could get the No. 1 pick and the QB of his choice.

— King listed Adrian Peterson and Josh Gordon as individuals with great weekends. And the Eagles and Broncos as teams with great weekends.

— King said that homefield is only important in the NFC right now. He said in the AFC you have to consider is that Peyton Manning will have to play in the cold in the playoffs.

— King said tonight is an important game for New Orleans, who could actually slide to the No. 6 seed because of Carolina and the wild card teams having strong records.

— King weighed in on Mike Tomlin stepping on to the field. He said he thinks he’ll get a six-figure fine and that’s about it. But King thinks officials need to flag that. “Coaches have gotten away with stuff too long on that white stripe,” King said.
