Charles Barkley on Auburn, Kobe’s return and how bad NBA is right now
TNT’s Charles Barkley joined the show to talk about Auburn reaching the BCS title game and the big storylines in the NBA>
Barkley said that he often talks to Bo Jackson and that Jackson is a great guy. Dan asked where he puts Bo among the athletes he’s seen. “Michael Jordan and Bo are the two best I’ve seen in person,” Barkley said.
Dan asked Barkley if he watched Kobe Bryant’s return. Barkley said he doesn’t watch bad teams. He said the Lakers aren’t going to be good with or without Kobe.
“I’m embarrassed at the level of basketball that’s going on in the NBA today,” Barkley said. “I’m embarrassed for the fans having to watch this trash in the NBA today.”
Barkley said that they should combine the bottom 10 teams in the East and see if they can beat Miami or Indiana. “I think Miami and Indiana are so far ahead of anyone else in the Eastern Conference,” Barkley said. He said someone asked him a week ago who was the third best team in the East. He hasn’t come up with an answer.
