USA Today’s Sam Amick joined the show to talk about NBA free agency and LeBron James opting out of his contract.
Amick said that there have been signs that LeBron James is dissatisfied with things the Heat have done — like not keeping Carmelo Anthony. Amick said that he doesn’t think the Heat are going to add another star to the Big Three. “They don’t have a ton of options when it comes to stars,” Amick said.
Amick said that teams can’t talk to players like LeBron until July 1, but players can talk to other players freely.
Amick also weighed in on the possibility of the Warriors landing Kevin Love. Amick said the talks aren’t dead, they’re just dormant. The issue is Golden State doesn’t want to give up Klay Thompson.
